A 100,000m2 shopping center is to be added in SIP with the business commencement of Times Square with combined functions of shopping, tourism, F&B, leisure, entertainment, and commerce, scheduled for Sept. 28, according to news release on the entry of international business retailers into SIPUD Times Square on March 26.
Construction of the Times Square began in April 2006 as a major commercial project in the round-lake commercial belt with a total constructed area of 510,000 square meters, divided into sub-areas offices, street blocks, life and leisure activities, and a 100,000m2 shopping center, serviced by 6 subway exits and an underground 4,000-vehicle parking lot in addition to water-borne bus, aerial corridors, super-large squares, and 9 thematic scenic buildings.
Marketing for business entries has been completed by 80% at the square with major focus on famous domestic and international brands, retail tycoons, and franchised stores.
The shopping center, in cooperation with Lifestyle International Holdings Ltd., with introduce Sogo Department Store into the premises. The office and commercial area will the entry of the Fortune-500 SK Group, the third largest enterprise in Korea.
Home Center & Babyshop, Parkson Group, Belle Group, and other international businesses will join in the strategic cooperation at the square. Also present in the square will be F&B and entertainment operators like Star Bucks, KFC, DEYNIQUE, Hamburg King, Costa, Top Sports, Jade Garden, Toysrus, WHM Group, Bestseller, Vero Moda, Jack Jones, and indoor children?s amusement park, etc.
Apart from being a multi-functional carrier of businesses, the Times Square affords an urban landscape of tourist attraction and promotes the circulation of information and capital to meet the demands of urban expansion and spur on the regional economy.
