Under the guidance of Municipal Bureau of Public Health and SIP Bureau of Social Undertakings, Kowloon Hospital has set up a medical treatment team with President Liu Feng as the leader, ready to receive the wounded from quake-hit areas of Sichuan. The team consists of a rescue group of orthopedic experts headed by Liu Jinlian, Director of Orthopedic Department, and psychiatric doctors, and a logistic support group. The medical team is well experienced in treating acute trauma and fractures.

A special ward was allocated for the emergency treatment in 3B Zone of the hospital with 48 sickbeds served by some 60 volunteers, ready at all times to offer their first-rate service to the wounded countrymen from the quake-stricken areas.
