SIP Institute of Vocational Technology (SIPIVT) recently hosted a symposium on senor IT talents training to share its experience in IT training with other schools and training institutions. At the symposium, speakers from Nanyang Technological Universit of Singapore introduced "project teaching method", how to raise the students' ability of self-study, and the development trend in IT education in Singapore. IVT introduced the achievements in classroom teaching reform and curriculum restructuring in building national demonstration institute of vocational technology.

The sponsor of the symposium, YOCSEF of China Computer Society, was founded by China Computer Society in 1998 as a national academic forum series on IT and IC manufacturing technology.
