According to the latest figure released by Municipal Bureau of Culture, Broadcasting, TV and Press, the 360 cultural enterprises in Suzhou Industrial Park have contributed 515 million yuan RMB state tax in the year 2007, which made up 23.05% that of the municipality and put SIP on top of the list of tax contributors.

Investigation for "itemized statistics on cultural industry of Suzhou in 2007"covered the items of film and TV production, publishing, distribution, printing and reproduction, advertising, performing and entertainment, cultural and art exhibitions, digital and animation industry, arts and crafts services, culture and tourism, etc., and 360 cultural enterprises in SIP are covered in the investigation. The statistics show that the cultural enterprises in SIP comprised 2.63% of the total in Suzhou, and generated a cultural added value of 1.993 billion RMB, making up 11.7% of the total of Suzhou. The cultural business revenue of 3.781 billion RMB in SIP claimed 9.45% that of the whole municipality.
