Polartech Additives (Suzhou) Co., Ltd., Located in Phase-4 of SIP, held an opening ceremony on June 19. Mr. Hugh Dowding, Global President of Polartech, Mr. Neil Floyd, UK Commercial Consol in Shanghai, Sun Yanyan, Vice-director of Sipac, and Shen Sufeng, Executive Vice-director of SIP Bureau of Investment Promotion, attended the ceremony.

Polartech Group, found in 1980 in Britain with HQ based in Manchester, has over the past two decades grown into the second largest supplier of additives for metal processing in the world. Its products are widely applied in the international metal processing market. At present, Polartech has manufacturing plants in 8 countries and sales networks in 22 countries. The plant in SIP is the only one of its kind in China.

Polartech Additives (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. was incorporated in Jan. 2006 with a total investment of USD 21.25 million and a land area of 25,000m2. The plant will be a major production base of Polartech in the Asian-Pacific region.
