Sponsors of eMEX announced at the press release on June 23 at the State Council Information Office that the annual eMEX will be held on Oct. 16 to 19 at SIP International Expo Center. What makes the forthcoming event different from previous ones is that this year the eMEX will highlight 6 major technological themes instep with the tendencies of globalization, and that simultaneously will be held symposiums on "electronics and IT structural upgrading and competition"and "IT management and application of global manufacturing industries" and "FPD and HDTV Summit" and "FPD CEO Summit".

Suzhou eMEX is sponsored jointly by Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Information Industry, the State Council Office for Taiwan Affairs, and Jiangsu Provincial People's Government. The event has become the most influential electronic exposition since exhibitors in the previous six events included prestigious IT multinational corporations, leading electronics enterprises from Taiwan, and major domestic electronics enterprises.

The exhibition sections in this year's eMAX will include those of semiconductor and components, IC equipment, optical electronic display technology, information software, and digital life, etc.

By June 20, 386 enterprises have signed up for 1,148 exhibition booths, and the organizing committee estimates that the number of participants will exceed 600 with 1,800 booths occupied, and visitors will be over 160,000.
