Sun Computer System (China) Co., Ltd. and SIP signed an agreement on Aug. 12 on jointly building "Sun East China Practice Base" in SIP International Science Park, which will train some thousand software talents in the next three years.

Sun Corporation, the largest global supplier of Unix software and hardware and Internet servers, owns the most advanced technologies in servers, workstations, data base equipment, and development platforms, and operation systems. The Java language developed by Sun is the most notable milestone in the history of computer development. The planned practice base is the only one authorized by Sun Corporation in East China.

As per the agreement, SIP will provide equipment for the training base, while Sun will introduce into the base the advanced international training and management system based on its superior software technology, industrial education, and project management. The object of the training will be to turn out integrated talents with mastery of technology, foreign languages, and internationalized professional procedures. The first batch of trainees will be enrolled by October.
