The 6th China International IC Exposition and Forum (IC China 2008), under sponsorships of China Semiconductor Association, Electronic and Information Branch of Trade Promotion Council, and Municipal People?s Government of Suzhou, was scheduled to open on Sept. 17 at Suzhou International Expo Center. During the opening ceremony, Xu Xiaotian, Secretary-general of China Semiconductor Association, disclosed to reporters that the events of IC China for next year would be held again in Suzhou along with eMEX.


The proposal for combined events of IC China and eMEX was passed at the enlarged meeting of the 2nd Session of the 4th Executive Council of China Semiconductor Association on Sept. 16. The meeting also reviewed the mode of long-term cooperation between the two events.


IC China is the most influential international exhibition and summit forum covering the whole IC industrial chain in China. The eMEX, held successfully at Suzhou International Expo Center on 6 occasions, has become the most influential electronic exhibition in China. The two events were held on the same site with an interval of merely one month.



According to Secretary-general Xu Xiaotian, IC China mainly exhibits semiconductor and IC components, and eMEX displays whole units of electronic products. IC is an integral parts of electronic products, and the two are interrelated inseparably. The combined event of the two will supplement each other and create more appeal to the general public. Liu Fang from Suzhou Cambridge Exhibition Company, organizer of eMEX, told the reporters that eMEX would readily enter into long-term cooperation with IC China.
