The 2019 Jiangnan International Fashion Week and the 20th China Jiangsu Changshu Clothing & Accessories Expo kicked off at Changshu International Exhibition Center on May 20.
The textile and garment industry is one of the three 100-billion-level industries in Changshu. After 30-plus years of development, it has formed a complete industrial chain of chemical fiber, textile, printing and dyeing, clothing and professional markets. The city boasts more than 3,300 textile and garment enterprises with a total asset of over 86 billion yuan.
Changshu Clothing City, the largest clothing market in China, has an annual transaction volume of 156.4 billion yuan. In 2018, the textile and garment industry, an important economic pillar of Changshu, achieved an output value of 46 billion yuan, accounting for 12.3% of gross output value of industrial enterprises above designated size.
