A Party and government delegation led by Lu Fangzhou, secretary of the CPC Jiading District Committee, and Gao Xiang, deputy secretary of the CPC Jiading District Committee and district chief, paid a visit to Suzhou on Feb. 23.
Xu Kunlin, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee and secretary of the CPC Suzhou Municipal Committee, met with the delegation. Li Yaping, deputy secretary of the CPC Suzhou Municipal Committee and mayor of Suzhou, Chen Zhenyi, director of the Standing Committee of the Suzhou Municipal People’s Congress, Zhou Weiqiang, chairman of CPPCC Suzhou Committee, Zhu Min, deputy secretary of the CPC Suzhou Municipal Committee, Xu Mousai, director of the Standing Committee of the Jiading District People’s Congress, and Shen Huadi, chairman of CPPCC Jiading Committee, attended the meeting.
Suzhou City and Shanghai’s Jiading District are geographically adjacent and have similar cultures. With the implementation of the national strategy for integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta, the two places have engaged in closer communication. In particular, since the signing of the “Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement on Building Jiading-Kunshan-Taicang Collaborative Innovation Zone” in May 2018, Suzhou and Jiading have further strengthened coordinated efforts in promoting the integration of urban planning, scientific innovation, industrial development, transportation interconnection, ecological governance, and public service.
During their stay in Suzhou, the members of the delegation visited the Suzhou Industrial Park (SIP) Exhibition Center, the Smart City Operation Center and the Artificial Intelligence Exhibition Center, Eslite Bookstore, and Suzhou Center Mall.
Leaders of Jiading District Zhou Wenjie, Gu Huiwen, Zhang Jinsong, Lu Zufang, Fu Jun, Zong Wei and Wang Hao, leaders of Suzhou City Wu Qingwen and Yu Xingnan, and secretary-general of the Suzhou municipal government Zhou Wei participated in the related activities.
