As the 38th International Day of the Blind is approaching, the Suzhou Library and the Suzhou Museum jointly launched one of the “I Am Your Eyes” activities on Oct. 12 to help the visually impaired to go out and touch the world. The first batch of more than 20 visually impaired people paid a visit to the Suzhou Museum West to experience the city’s culture and history.
Accompanied by volunteers and museum workers, the participants visited the museum’s General History Exhibition Hall, Suzhou Crafts Gallery and International Cooperation Hall.
The Suzhou Library and the Suzhou Museum will continue to offer specialized help to visually impaired people to enable them enjoy high-quality public cultural services, according to a person in charge of the Suzhou Library.
