The 10th Jinji Lake Startup Contest came to a successful conclusion in Suzhou Industrial Park (SIP) on the afternoon of Oct. 19. A total of 110 projects advanced to the finals and the 20 winners of the first, second and third prizes were selected. The event also set up awards for the top 10 fastest-growing companies and the top 10 high-level talent projects in the past 10 years.
Since its launch in 2012, the contest has attracted a total of 1,500 overseas projects, of which over 300 projects have settled in Suzhou and more than 200 in SIP.
The Jinji Lake Startup Contest, organized by the China Entrepreneurs Investment Center and the Association of Overseas High-level Talents, is an innovation and entrepreneurship platform for high-level talents at home and abroad. Over the past 10 years, the contest has brought together 200-plus top domestic venture capital institutions and 300 outstanding investors. The total amount of financing raised by the finalist projects has exceeded 10.8 billion yuan and 42 people have been selected into the national talent programs.
