Kunshan retains its crown as the top county in the country, according a ranking of top 100 Chinese counties recently released by CCID Consulting Urban Economic Research Center. Zhangjiagang, Changshu, and Taicang, other three competitive counties in Suzhou, are among the top 10 on the list, ranking 3rd, 4th and 7th respectively.
The list was compiled based on a county economic high-quality development evaluation system, involving 24 three-level indexes in 4 dimensions -- economic strength, growth potential, affluence, and green development.
According to the list, China’s top 10 counties are Kunshan City, Jiangyin City, Zhangjiagang City, and Changshu City in Jiangsu Province, Jinjiang City in Fujian Province, Cixi City in Zhejiang Province, Taicang City and Yixing City in Jiangsu Province, Longkou City in Shandong Province, and Changsha County in Hunan Province.
