Suzhou Industrial Park is a pivotal project jointly developed by the Chinese and Singaporean Governments. It was established with the approval of the State Council in February,1994. It is committed to building a high-tech industrial park with global competitiveness as well as a modern, garden-like and international community. In 2015, it was approved as the first comprehensive experimental zone for opening-up and innovation by the State Council. In 2017, it was selected among the first batch of green industrial parks. In 2018, it was recognized as an outstanding team for the 40th anniversary of Jiangsu's reform and opening up. In 2019, it was selected as a pilot site of provincial socialist modernization.
